Urban Missions

Medici Project - Urban Missions 1

THE ESSENTIAL ISSUE: WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Our hope with our Urban Missions program is to help students gain clarity in how they can leverage their passions and skill sets, powered by the gospel to serve others, predominately through their current life contexts and their desire for future vocations. Being exposed and understanding how they can make a strategic impact in their own communities is vital to influencing culture for the common good and advancement of the Gospel.

HOW MEDICI PROJECT URBAN MISSIONS ARE FORMED

4 Dimensional Experience

What Is The Gospel?

Having an understanding of the gospel is key to our mission experiences. Not only does it speak to the personal salvation of participants, but has major implications on how service is carried out to the least of these.

Grace Driven Justice

To serve and seek the welfare of the city is not derived from obligation. Rather, it comes from a grace that we ourselves as believers have experienced from Jesus Christ. This same grace that has been shown to us is extended to those in need.

Framework of Urban Poverty

To serve with purpose, we must understand the context of where we are serving. From culture, demographics, issues, and more, trip participants will gain a solid understanding of the framework of urban poverty.

The Power of Collaboration

For maximum impact, we believe that we go farther if we go together. This is why we serve together and illustrate Paul’s claim of the Church being the body of Christ, leveraging our individual passions and skill sets to bring about the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
